Crime Stoppers in Miami is in process of soliciting proposals for the upcoming fiscal year.

 

Please find herein a request for a cost quote for services from Crime Stoppers of Miami Dade County and The Florida Keys. We are currently looking for a IT Support Specialist for general services. This quote will be due prior to July 1, 2026.

 

Because of the nature of our organization's business the following services and requirements are needed to be quoted:

​Required Technical Support & Operations

​

1. Must be available on an on-call basis to Crime Stoppers staff throughout the month.

2. Provide technical support to end users.

3. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network issues.

4. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.

5. Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

6. Support Microsoft 365, email systems, Apple systems, Windows systems, and business applications.

7. Document issues, resolutions, and IT procedures.

8. Assist with employee on-boarding and off-boarding, including device setup and account management.

9. Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, and security patch management.

10. Monitor system performance and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

11. Maintain inventory records for IT equipment, software licenses, and technology assets.Organizational Support

12. Understand and support the day-to-day technology needs of a nonprofit organization.

13. Provide technology recommendations that align with grant-funded program requirements and budget constraints.

14. Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable grant, security, and confidentiality requirements.

15. Coordinate with staff, vendors, and service providers as needed to ensure uninterrupted technology service

 

Required Qualifications

1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support roles.

3. Knowledge of Apple and Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.

4. Experience working with nonprofit organizations, Law Enforcement and their operational requirements.

5. Ability to execute and comply with a Confidentiality Agreement.

6. Willingness to submit to and successfully pass an FDLE background check.

 

Preferred Qualifications

​

1. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent credentials.

2. Experience supporting nonprofit organizations receiving grant funding through the Florida Office of the Attorney General.

3. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with Crime Stoppers programs or similar nonprofit/public safety organizations.

4. Multiple years of experience supporting organizations operating under Florida Attorney General-managed grant requirements.

Proposals will be reviewed beginning July 22, 2026. The contract period will run from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, subject to grant funding availability.
